Persian cooking made for coeliacs

Persian cooking is built on saffron basmati rice, charcoal-grilled meat and vegetables, slow stews of herbs and pulses, yogurt, nuts and pomegranate. At Pérsico we have taken that base all the way: every dish is gluten-free, so a table with and without coeliacs can share everything.

What you can eat

Starters (Shoru)

From the grill (Atash)

  • Vaziri: one beef skewer and one chicken skewer
  • Grilled Octopus
  • Persian-style roast lamb (for 2)

Stews (Khoresht) and sides

  • Gheyme with beef (also in a vegetarian version)
  • Persian saffron rice
  • Spiced roast potatoes

This is just a selection: see the full menu.

Gluten-free bread

At a Persian table, bread goes with the starters for sharing. At Pérsico we serve it gluten-free, so nobody misses out on the Kashk-e Bademjoon.

In the kitchen

When a coeliac guest tells us, we prepare their dishes separately and always with gloves. That is why we ask you to let us know when you book or order.

Drinks

We have gluten-free beer. Some drinks on the menu may contain gluten: ask our team and we will point you to the options suitable for coeliacs.
